A group of Iraqi females walk into the youth center where the Iraqi Womens Engagement team, Detachment 1, Civil Affairs Team 5, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, was meeting in Rawah, Iraq, May 31. The IWE team consists of all women whose purpose is to meet with females in different communities and to mediate to the community leaders the needs of the Iraqi women. The women who come to the meetings get a chance to discuss living conditions and other things they might need such as jobs, water, electricity and security.
