Eric Marks, the commander of the 183d Civil Engineer Squadron, and distinguished visitors cut the ribbon during the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 183d Wing Base Civil Engineer Complex Sept. 24, 2025, at the 183d Wing, Springfield, Illinois. The complex is comprised of two buildings totaling 24,000 sq. ft. and replaces seven separate decades-old, antiquated buildings scattered across base, reducing the organization’s physical footprint and streamlining engineering operations for its members.
