GREAT LAKES, Illinois (September 23, 2025) Recruits assigned to recruit training division 514 of training group 50, and sponsored by Naval Station Great Lakes, sit during a commissioning ceremony held at Recruit Training Command's Midway drill hall. Recruit division sponsorship develops a special bond between recruit divisions and military or civilian organizations. Mentorship and direct contact from the sponsors enhance basic training and provide a unique learning experience for Recruits and sponsoring groups.
