U.S. Army Lt. Col. Jonathan Roland and Command. Sgt. Maj. Jose J. Padilla-Guzman, the commander and senior enlisted advisor of 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, case the unit colors during a transfer of authority ceremony at Camp Reedo, Estonia, Sept. 23, 2025. As part of Task Force Warpaint, 5-7 Cav successfully completed a deployment to Estonia for Operation Atlantic Resolve, with 6-9 Cav assuming their role as part of the rotational augment forces of V Corps. Their mission in Europe is to conduct operational planning, mission command and oversight of the rotational forces in Europe to support NATO allies and help improve interoperability.
