Chaplains from the United States, Republic of Korea, Belgium, the Philippines, South Africa, and Thailand pay their respects at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan Sept. 17 during the United Nations Command (UNC) Member States Chaplains Symposium. Established in 1950, UNC leads the multinational effort to enforce the Korean Armistice Agreement and preserve stability on the peninsula. Today, it coordinates with 18 member states that contributed combat forces and medical support during the Korean War, ensuring readiness and mutual support.
