GRAFENWOEHR TRAINING AREA, Germany — U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher L. Mullinax, U.S. Army Europe and Africa senior enlisted advisor, is escorted by Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Haynes, command sergeant major of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment and Joint Multinational Training Group–Ukraine Task Force Saber, during a visit to Iron Phoenix, Sept. 22, 2025. Iron Phoenix trains Ukrainian soldiers on Bradley Fighting Vehicle familiarization and Stryker armored vehicle welding. Under the guidance of U.S. European Command, U.S. Army Europe and Africa and Security Assistance Group-Ukraine, the 7th Army Training Command and JMTG-U provide training and advisory support to strengthen operational effectiveness and advance the long-term development of partner forces through innovation and readiness at Grafenwoehr.
