    Retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 David Williams, a prisoner of war veteran from Operation Iraqi Freedom, addressed 1st Armored Division Soldiers, veterans and those in the local Fort Bliss community at Memorial Circle in Fort Bliss, Texas, for a prisoners of war and missing in action remembrance ceremony, Sept. 19, 2025. Iraqi Forces captured Williams, along with his co-pilot, after their Apache Attack Helicopter was shot down during operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom, after 21 days in captivity they were freed by U.S. Marines.
