U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Ryan Berthiaume, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense chief with 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, takes inventory of CBRN equipment during a facilities freeze week on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 18, 2025. The freeze week, executed in support of Operation Clean Sweep III and other unit initiatives, was a coordinated effort to improve operational efficiency, optimize workspace utilization, and support the quality of life of unit personnel in the workplace and in the barracks. OCS III, part of the ongoing Barracks 360 Reset initiative, demonstrates a collective commitment to improving living conditions through shared ownership, sustained accountability, and tangible improvements to the barracks.
