U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), practice methods to temporarily detain a non-cooperative trespasser within a National Defense Area (NDA) in Yuma, Ariz., Aug. 26, 2025. The training integrated classroom instruction with hands-on practical application exercises, ensuring Marines received a thorough and realistic understanding of temporary detention operations within NDAs. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
