AT SEA (Sept. 16, 2025) - The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) steams in formation with the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship Blue Ridge (LCC 19), Republic of Korea, and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force during a photo exercise at sea in support of Freedom Edge 25, Sept. 16. Trilateral exercises like Freedom Edge demonstrate our shared commitment to achieve and maintain peace in the Indo-Pacific. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy's largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region. Curtis Wilbur is forward-deployed and currently assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th fleet’s principal surface force.
