Members of U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Alpine Fire Department, and U.S. Soldiers with 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), perform a 9/11 memorial service in Alpine, Texas, Sept. 11, 2025. This 9/11 memorial service honors the lives lost that day, reinforces the unity between military, civilian, and local emergency services, and ensures that their sacrifices are never forgotten. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
