U.S. Air Force Col. Chris Robinson, 81st Training Wing commander, presents a certificate to Airman 1st Class Samuel Morton, 81st Operational Medical Readiness Squadron mental health technician, during the Warrior of the Week presentation at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Sept. 17, 2025. As a mental health technician, he supports the health and wellness of 22,000 joint service enrollees and 28,000 annual trainees. Morton leads a weekly psychotherapy group and has equipped 88 service members with effective coping techniques to reduce target symptoms, ultimately saving 36 provider hours worth $2,000. He commits four hours weekly to the 81st Training Group by providing non-diagnostic counseling, supporting 1,500 students.
