    Rear Adm. Jeff Kilian, commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) and chief of Civil Engineers, tours Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) with a team of civil engineers.

Smith (right) briefed the admiral about ongoing Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) construction projects assigned to Officer in Charge of Construction PNSY.

    Ongoing shipyard projects include construction of two new dry dock positions designated as Dry Dock 1 North and Dry Dock 1 West. These multi-function additions will provide advanced maintenance support for Virginia-class submarines.
