U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. Jon Hickey is relieved by Rear Adm. Russell Dash as the Coast Guard Great Lakes District commander at a change of command ceremony presided over by Vice Adm. Nathan Moore in the Music Hall within the Cleveland Public Auditorium in Cleveland, September 15, 2025. Hickey was relieved of the responsibility for all Coast Guard operations throughout the 5 Great Lakes, the Saint Lawrence Seaway, and parts of the surrounding 8 states, including 6,700 miles of shoreline and 1,500 miles of the international border with Canada.
