U.S. Airman Basic DeAvante Hatfield, 338th Training Squadron student, participates in a blind search during Bracer Forge at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Sept. 12, 2025. The day’s events were led by the 333rd Training Squadron with training scenarios tailored around rescue operations in honor of 9/11. Participants completed practical exercises as they rotated through stations with cryptography, tactical combat casualty care, and communications skills. Bracer Forge is a Second Air Force initiative to provide trainees with hands-on experience routinely to reinforce the “airminded warfighter” mindset, enabling them to adapt to dynamic operational environments.
