Air Commandos assigned to the 27th Special Operations Wing board an MC-130 Commando II for a rapid readiness exercise at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, Sept 3, 2025. The Commando II flies clandestinely, or in low visibility, single- or multi-ship, low-level infiltration, exfiltration, and resupply of special operations forces by airdrop or airland, and air refueling missions for special operations helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft, intruding into politically sensitive or hostile territories.
