GROVELAND, California (June 11, 2025) – Fire fighting resources from the Stanislaus National Forest’s Groveland Ranger District participated in their yearly readiness review, Wednesday, June 11, 2025 near Argo Mine in the Greeley Hill area. Under the evaluating eyes of Stanislaus Fire and Aviation Management leadership, fire fighters responded to a simulated fire in the area, demonstrated proper hose lay techniques, how to cut line, respond to a medical emergency and other skills critical as they become available for the 2025 season. Clint Gould, Stanislaus National Forest Deputy Fire Management Officer, noted everyone did an exceptional job with the challenging exercise. “We saw tremendous team work, communication, and tactical proficiency in wildland fire operations – the Groveland Ranger District is ready to respond to any incident,” Gould said.
