Army veteran JR Salzman fights for position during the cycling event of the Warrior Games, May 12, 2013 at Colorado Springs, Colo. The daylong cycling event consisted of seven categories in which wounded, ill or injured soldiers, Marines, airmen, sailors and soldiers of the British armed forces competed for the gold. Throughout the week of the games, more than 260 wounded, ill or injured service members from across the Department of Defense and British armed forces will compete in track and field, sitting volleyball, shooting, swimming, archery and wheelchair basketball events. The 2013 Warrior Games is intended to help service members advance their recovery by helping them overcome challenges associated with their physical injuries or illnesses. (Photo by Sgt Victor J.
