ROSTOCK, Germany (Sept. 4, 2025) - An explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician, assigned to EOD Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8 prosecutes an inert improvised explosive device training shape during exercise Northern Coasts 2025. Commander Task Group 68.1 (EODMU 8) is part of the forward deployed Navy Expeditionary Combat Force Europe-Africa/Commander, Task Force (CTF) 68 having operational capability to locate, identify, detect, render safe, recover, field evaluate and dispose of all explosive ordnance. Northern Coasts provides the opportunity for participating nations to engage in realistic maritime training, to build experience and teamwork, and strengthen our interoperability as we work toward mutual goals.
