U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade conduct a 5K run and 110-flight stair climb at Caserma Del Din, Italy, Sept. 11, 2025, to honor and remember the lives lost during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the U.S. European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
