Italian Carabiniere Appuntato Scelto Dennis Xamin explains the layout of the training site to U.S. Army Col. Adontis Atkins, director of communications for U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), during spectrum analysis training in Vicenza, Italy, Sept. 9, 2025. SETAF-AF and the 173rd Airborne Brigade used the Carabinieri C-IED training program, in conjunction with the Center of Excellence for Stability Police Units (CoESPU) and the Arma dei Carabinieri, to test spectrum analysis equipment designed for frequency monitoring, gaining valuable data in a realistic environment while supporting the readiness of Italian allies.
