U.S. Soldiers with Alpha Company, 87th Division Sustainment Support Battalion, 3rd Division Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, refuel an AH-64D Apache attack helicopter assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, during forward area refueling point operations at Forward Operating Site Powidz, Poland, Aug. 15, 2025. Forward area refueling points are critical enablers that allow the Combat Aviaiton Brigade and Division Sustainment Brigade to work in partnership, extending Apache attack helicopters' operational range for long-range precision operations along NATO's Eastern Flank.
