A soldier from 3rd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, reacts during a notional chemical attack scenario during exercise Saber Junction 25, at Joint Multinational Readiness Center's (JMRC) Hohenfels Training Area, Germany, Sept. 10, 2025. The training incorporated chemical threats to replicate the intensity of large-scale combat operations. Observer-Coach Trainers from the 7th Army Training Command used tear gas and smoke grenades during the simulated chemical attack to increase stress and realism. This multinational training event, brings together more than 7,000 participants and 1,000 vehicles from 15 nations, ensuring U.S., Allied and Partner forces are prepared to act decisively in response to emerging threats.
