The Fanfara Storica della Sezione di Vicenza (Italian Alpini Band, Vicenza section) welcomes U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) as they join members of the Esercito Italiano, including the Carabinieri and Alpini, and regional community leaders to commemorate one of the bloodiest battles of WWI at the Ossuary of Monte Pasubio, Italy, Sept. 7, 2025. Inaugurated August 29, 1926, the Monte Pasubio War Memorial honors approximately 5,000 Italian soldiers, as well as 60 unknown Austro-Hungarian soldiers. (U.S. Army photo by Maj. Joe Legros)
