    U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jeremiah Espinoza, left, and Lance Cpl. Elliot Simmons, both motor vehicle operators with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), operate a 120M motorized road grader and a commercial 120 GC motor grader during roadway maintenance operations in Yuma, Ariz., Sept. 1, 2025. Roadway maintenance and improvement operations strike a balance between enhancing mobility and preserving environmental integrity to ensure safe and reliable travel for U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
