Debbie Peredo, daughter of the late Vicenta "Seabee Betty" Chargualaf Peredo, shows off a new street sign in honor of her mother during a ceremony at Camp Covington on Naval Base Guam. The main road at the camp was renamed Seabee Betty Drive in honor of Chargualaf Peredo, who spent more than five decades of her life reaching out to thousands of Seabees deployed to Guam through fiestas and charitable efforts that united military members with the local Chamorro people and culture of Guam.
