From left to right, U.S. Army Reserve Drill Sergeant Staff Sgt. Marcus A. Gamba, Cayo W. Rodrigues, Juan A. Campos, Staff Sgt. Christopher O. Trueblood and Bryant C. Ferguson take a group photo after their trainees complete the Night Infiltration Course at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Aug. 27, 2025. They are all assigned to Charlie Company, assigned to 4th Battalion, 39th Infantry Regiment.

The Night Infiltration Course is a simulated combat training event that challenges trainees to low crawl 100 meters under live fire, flares, and battlefield obstacles. As part of Basic Combat Training, it builds confidence, resilience, and trust in their training before advancing to their next Army assignment, whether Active Duty, National Guard, or Army Reserve.
