U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 1st Air Support Operations Group from Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Wash., prepare to load onto a C-17 Globemaster III assigned to the 176th Wing on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 26, 2025. The joint operation brought together various units supporting the Indo-Pacific mission in complex environments. The units participating were the 1st Combat Weather Squadron located at JBLM, riggers from the 4th Quartermaster Company, 17th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 3rd Air Support Operations Squadron and the Alaska National Guard stationed at JBER.
