Adam Hay, Regional Vice President, Michaels Management, offered context on how this project began as a humble suggestion about six years ago, while addressing attendees of the Fort Irwin Apartments ground-breaking ceremony on Fort Irwin, California, Sept. 3, 2025. The Fort Irwin Apartments is a new initiative by the U.S. Army to provide the very best living accommodations for unaccompanied (single) Soldiers stationed on Fort Irwin, who train the rotational training brigades and division-sized elements who come here to learn what it takes to win the first fight of the next war.
