The 2025 Defense Health Information Technology Symposium, held in Nashville, Tennessee in August 2025, focused on how the Defense Health Agency leverages cutting-edge information technology to deliver on its mission to support the military services and combatant commands, while continuing to deliver high quality health care to 9.5 million beneficiaries. Military and industry IT leaders, researchers, and healthcare professionals shared their work through plenary and breakout sessions. Speakers covered a variety of topics like artificial intelligence in health care, health informatics, new tools and technology, healthcare innovation, enterprise capabilities, and issues facing the IT workforce. The symposium focused on the theme, “Empowering Care, Enhancing Readiness: Harnessing Health IT Innovation.”
