Republic of Korea Air Force soldiers with Chungung I Battery, tighten wires to a barricade, on Pyeongtaek Naval Base, South Korea, Aug. 25, 2025. Chungung I Battery supports the U.S. Army 35 Air Defense Brigade by providing a barricade to aid in the protection of Charlie 6-52 Air Defense Artillery. The event is part of Ulchi Freedom Shield 25, an annual exercise designed to strengthen the combined defense posture and Republic of Korea-U.S. alliance response capabilities based on scenarios that reflect diverse threats within the security environment.
