U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Brett Johnson, command sergeant major for Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB) and 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), gives a 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) challenge coin to U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Chelsey Gateb, a hospital corpsman with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assigned to JTF-SB, during a visit to Yuma, Ariz., Aug. 29, 2025. The command sergeant major selected Gateb for the coin as she provided over 109 hours across 25 separate missions of direct support to the southern border mission, while leading and instructing various medical and combat lifesaver course training for U.S. personnel in the region. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
