AFWERX, the innovation arm of the Department of the Air Force and a directorate within the Air Force Research Laboratory, invited Joby to demonstrate how autonomous aviation can support Agile Combat Employment and enhance logistics in contested environments. The DLE series includes all branches of the Department of Defense, along with allies and partners, involving more than 400 joint and coalition aircraft and over 12,000 personnel at more than 50 locations spanning 3,000 miles.
