(Aug. 28, 2025) Damage Controlmen 3rd Class Cody Wilson , assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), turns throttle valve warming main engine to complete the ships light off assessment, Aug. 28, 2025. Kearsarge commenced fast cruise, a simulated day underway, after completing an operational milestone, light off assessment.
