A U.S. Marine with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, looks though an Aimpoint FCS13RE Fire Control System during a range as part of ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Aug. 20, 2025. The Aimpoint FCS13RE Fire Control System calculates and displays a corrected aiming point that accounts for range, ammunition type, terrain angle, and environmental factors, dramatically increasing the probability of a first-round hit on both stationary and moving targets during day and night operations. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities, and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic.
