USS Green Bay follows behind USS Peleliu during an air-power display over the Pacific Ocean, May 9. During the last leg of the deployment, guests came aboard both ships to experience ship-life and to learn what their Marine or sailor has accomplished during the past seven months. The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit is comprised of approximately 2,400 Marines and sailors and is deployed as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group. Together, they provide a forward-deployed, flexible sea-based Marine Air Ground Task Force capable of conducting a wide variety of operations ranging from humanitarian aid to combat.
