The only human-rated centrifuge within the Department of Defense is shown at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Aug. 12, 2025. Sixteen students from the 80th Flying Training Wing’s Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program completed centrifuge training, which simulated gravitational forces, or g-forces, experienced in the T-38 trainer aircraft. The Air Force Research Laboratory’s 711th Human Performance Wing owns and operates the centrifuge. (U.S. Air Force photo / Richard Eldridge)
