A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Rein.), hoists a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle during a helicopter support team exercise, at Landing Zone Swan, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 25, 2025. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 31 conducted HST operations to maintain and improve their aerial transportation skills in rural training situations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
