Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) conducts research and testing on underwater sonar equipment, to evaluate the effectiveness of these tools in advancing the capabilities of Fleet divers, Port of Hueneme, Calif., May 21, 2025. The testing from NAVFAC EXWC’s Expeditionary Systems Engineering department (EX5) and NAVFAC EXWC divers is aimed at putting cutting-edge technologies into the hands of Fleet divers, ensuring the Fleet and warfighters have the most advanced tools and equipment to carry out complex and rigorous underwater operations.
