Special Operations Command Pacific Commander Maj. Gen. Jeffrey A. VanAntwerp spoke to Comprehensive Security Cooperation course (CSC 25-3) Fellows at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS) on Monday, August 25, 2025. He provided Fellows with information about Special Operations Command, Pacific (SOCPAC) and the five truths of Special Operations Forces. He also shared his thoughts on how deterrence was his number one duty. DKI APCSS is a U.S. Department of Defense institute that addresses regional and global security issues, inviting military and civilian representatives of the United States and Asia-Pacific nations to its comprehensive program of executive education and workshops, both in Hawaii and throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
