Munitions specialists assigned to the 35th Munitions Squadron lower a GBU-32 joint direct attack munition onto a munitions transportation cart with a 6,000 pound forklift during a cart swap at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Aug. 15, 2025. A cart swap is a munitions maintenance operation in which live ammo is transferred from one munitions transportation cart to another, allowing the carts to receive required maintenance and routine inspections.
