250821-N-PS838-1116 NORFOLK, Va. (August 21, 2025) Sailors assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), eat burgers in the barge mess decks, August 21. The shipboard organization, Sailor360, hosted a Burger Burn mentorship event where members of the First Class Petty Officer Association and culinary specialists cooked and served food for the crew. Bataan is currently undergoing regularly scheduled repairs in the General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyard.
