A Republic of Korea Marine and a U.S. Marine climb a rock wall during a ROK ranger training course held April 15 at the 1st ROK Marine Division Base, Pohang. The course was part of Korean Marine Exchange Program 13-6, one of three KMEPs being held during exercise Ssang Yong 13. Ssang Yong, which means “twin dragons,” is a bilateral training exercise held annually in the ROK. It is designed to strengthen the interoperability of the ROK and U.S. forces.
