The ceremony welcomed the command’s newest Foreign Liaison Officer, Brazilian Air Force Space Situational Awareness Officer, Maj. Igor Alves. USSPACECOM currently has seven LNOs in Colorado Springs, and six at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. LNOs represent their nation on behalf of their leadership and work with the entire command to enhance bilateral collaboration and bolster international cooperation in space. USSPACECOM, working with Allies and Partners, plans, executes, and integrates military spacepower into multi-domain global operations in order to deter aggression, defend national interests, and when necessary, defeat threats.
