U.S. East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare Operators (SEALs) conduct a free fall jump from an MC-130J Commando II assigned to the 27th Special Operations Wing, during ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 11, 2025. Specialized training in the Artic environment gives operators real-world experience ensuring continued effective operations in the region. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities, and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic.
