Nearly 100 players made up eight teams that competed in Fort Indiantown Gap’s inaugural softball tournament on Strickler Field Aug. 16. The teams were composed of Pennsylvania National Guard members, Pennsylvania National Guard and Pennsylvania Department of Military Veterans Affairs civilian employees, as well as members of the local communities around the installation. The eight teams battled it out in two pools of round-robin play to determine seeding for the single-elimination tournament bracket. When all was said and done, “Shots Fired” emerged as the winning team, with Jordan Clegg and Ivy Wood being named the male and female most-valuable players.
