Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) Tyler Scott, lead F-35 lift systems mechanic at Fleet Readiness Center East, torques external bolts on a three-bearing swivel module before final quality checks take place in order to return the component to ready for issue condition. FRCE recently completed the depot's first overhaul of the F-35 three-bearing swivel module, an integral component of the F-35B Lightning II lift system that enables the aircraft's short takeoff and vertical landing capabilities.
