On Aug. 14, the 6th Ordnance Battalion and Chilgok County hosted the 23rd Hill 303 Memorial Ceremony at the Korean American Hill 303 Memorial Park near Camp Carroll in Waegwan.
This solemn annual event commemorates the 41 U.S. Prisoners of War who were tragically killed on Hill 303 during the Korean War.
Brig. Gen. Jin H. Pak, commanding general of the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, joined leaders and Soldiers from the U.S. Army Materiel Support Command–Korea and Area IV (which encompasses the greater Daegu region), along with representatives of the Republic of Korea Army and local community leaders, to pay tribute to the fallen and reaffirm our shared commitment to remembrance and unity.
Let us honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their courage unites us in purpose and legacy. Today, we stand together—Two Nations, One Team—fortified by history, bound by shared values, and committed to a future of peace and resilience.
