ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 15, 2025) – A landing craft air cushion assigned to Assault Craft Unit 4, approaches the well deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) during the onload of Marines assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC). Sailors and Marines of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (IWO ARG) – 22nd MEU (SOC) departed Norfolk and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina after completing a comprehensive, nine-month training program.
