The top three finishers in the 2025 Marksmanship Advisory Council Region VI Marksmanship Shooting Championships in the Open Division, Reflective Fire Open competition, pause for a photo during an awards ceremony at Camp Guernsey, Wyoming, on August 10, 2025. First Place went to Oregon Army National Guard Sgt. Chase Kaleta, assigned to 3rd Battalion, 116th Cavalry (center), along with Second Place finisher Army Staff Sgt. Tyler Goldade, North Dakota National Guard (left), and Third Place finisher, Army 1st Sgt. Daniel Wieland, North Dakota National Guard (right). The Region VI Championships, organized by the Marksmanship Advisory Council at Camp Guernsey, Wyoming, from August 8-10, tested marksmanship and physical fitness. Participants moved through different firing positions, aiming their rifles and pistols at targets from 100 to 600 yards away. This training helped them achieve tight shot groups and accurate shooting. The MAC-VI match aims to enhance combat-focused marksmanship skills for the eight-state region, including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming, and ensure the readiness of service members.
